Set & Achieve Your Financial Goals
Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible. Achieving the things we want in life takes effort, accountability and short-term sacrifice. If you haven’t done so already, it’s not too late to set your intentions to live on purpose and to achieve your financial goals. The very best and most effective way is by setting some very specific goals, and incorporating these next steps:
It’s as easy as 1,2,3…
1. Write three financial goals (right now!) to achieve this year! Whether you want to save for a vacation in July, or establish an emergency fund, writing your goals make them real. Making your goals real increases the likelihood that they will be achieved. Begin with your Finances, but consider setting specific goals for your Business/Career, Health, Faith, Family and Marriage too!
People with written goals are 50% more likely to achieve them than people without goals
2. Post your goals in a place you’ll see them often – closet door, refrigerator, bathroom mirror. As a visual person, consider creating a vision board to set yourself in motion. Simplify this step and tap into your PowerPoint, Prezi or Pinterest skills to quickly grab and pin images that powerfully convey the end results or the feeling of achieving each goal and add them to your page. I personally created my vision board in Powerpoint, added a few affirmations (e.g. I am a Money Magnet) and saved it as my screen saver on my laptop and my phone! Done and Done.

3. Revisit your goals frequently to keep them top of mind. My business coach kindly reminded me to “Put a reminder on your phone calendar every 90 days (Mar 30, Jun 30, Sept 30, Dec 30) to evaluate your list, and modify your behavior.”
